Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

Crunchyroll is conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to be in-office one day a week, and we'll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

Location: Dallas

Our Dallas office, home to production facilities and more, is located in the newly constructed Cypress Waters campus in the center of the Dallas Fort Worth area.

About The Team

The ADR Writing team transforms provided English translations of Japanese scripts into adapted spoken-word English scripts. We work closely with directors, producers, and other members of the Production Department to help produce English dubs our fans will love.

About You:

• General understanding of anime dubbing/experience in the anime dubbing industry
• Experience with ADR script adaptation and ability to time lines to lip flaps
• Excellent writing skills, both technical and creative
• Ability to work with others creatively, hear and adjust to different viewpoints
• Experience working under tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• An open mind to the flexibility of the dubbing process as we try innovative ways to best provide our fans with the dubs they love

A day in the life of our ADR Writer:

• Adapt two standard 23-minute episodes per week
• Meet tight weekly deadlines
• Provide episode line count
• Work with supervisors and ADR directors, providing revisions as needed
• Research assigned properties
