Under general supervision, the senior programmer analyst formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research to develop or modify information systems. This includes assisting in the preparation of, or preparing, detailed specifications from which programs will be written. The Senior Software Engineer designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains enterprise applications. The position requires hands-on expertise with Banner systems including Banner Job Submission, posting, data imports, data exports, baseline and modified C Programs, shell scripts and other Banner related processes as well as in-depth knowledge of functional business processes across all Banner modules. This includes the ability to develop and process data files and API imports/exports between non-Banner systems. In addition, the Senior Software Engineer will develop and support any necessary enhancements to Banner or other applications directed.
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $84,835.61 and $149,076.17. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
