We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for MCR Services will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of complex projects related to Master Control Room (MCR) operations. This role requires the ability to develop detailed project plans, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure that technical, operational, and scheduling goals are met on time and within budget.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead project teams, including MCR engineers, broadcast operations staff, and external contractors, to ensure they are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple MCR services projects, ensuring alignment with overall broadcast objectives and deadlines.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that include scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables specific to MCR operations for live broadcasts.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all aspects of the project stay on track.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholder communications and escalations, including broadcast engineers, production teams, and external partners.
- Work closely with technical teams to support the seamless execution of live events, troubleshooting issues and making real-time adjustments to ensure uninterrupted MCR services.
- Collaborate with content strategy leads, broadcast operations, and engineering teams to ensure alignment across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support cross-functional collaboration between technical and operational teams, ensuring smooth handoffs and coordination during MCR-related activities.
- Work in a hybrid environment, both remotely, and on-site.
- Travel up to 30% to client sites in Los Angeles, Dallas, New York City, & Fort Lauderdale.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably within the broadcast, media, or live event production industries.
- Strong technical understanding of MCR operations, live broadcast workflows, and signal routing systems.
- Experience managing large-scale, live broadcast projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Expertise in project management tools such as Asana, Jira, or similar.
- Strong proficiency with Google Sheets and Google Workspace for project tracking and reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with live sports broadcast environments and MCR technologies is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, when needed, as required by the production schedule.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation range for this temporary position is $60-$70/Hour.
