Job Description
AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned construction General Superintendent to join our team of professionals.
- Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
- Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
- Primary Liaison with client for day-to-day activities and long-term operations.
- Communicates and directs changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
- Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
- Primary interface and engagement with Project Executive and manager group to coordinate efforts.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 10 years of Construction Superintendent experience; or AA/AS and 12 years of relevant experience; or HS/GED and 14 years of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction experience in large scale construction projects, including:
- Healthcare/life sciences facilities
- Sports stadiums and arenas
- Higher education institutions
- Convention centers and hospitality venues
- Airports/Aviation
- Proven experience in the selection, oversight, and management of trade subcontractors.
- Demonstrated expertise in sequencing and logistics of large construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and piping systems.
- Extensive experience in structural construction techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Familiarity with construction management software such as CMiC, Procore, PlanGrid, or similar platforms.
- OSHA 30-hour certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Leadership experience managing large teams of construction professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.
