Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Project Electrical Engineer Specialist for a Federal Client in the DC Metro Area to join our Program and Project Management team.

This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Will be the senior technical resource and will serve as the technical advisor for the team throughout the project’s lifecycle.  
  • Will work with the project team and interact with the client to deliver multiple projects for a federal client. 
  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. 
  • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. 
  • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings. 
  • Prepare technical specification sections. 
  • Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. 
  • Identify opportunities for effective and efficient cost savings for the client.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Construction experience
  • Experience working with GSA

Preferred Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in field
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Federal Security Clerance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD
  • OSHA 10
  • Experience with federal clients
  • Experience with Design-Build Projects
  • Experience with Design Bid Build Projects
  • Managed construction projects valued in excess of $3M
