Job Description

AECOM is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Water Engineer (Project Manager) to join our growing team of infrastructure professionals. In this role, you’ll lead and support innovative engineering projects related to water, wastewater, conveyance, and design-build that impact communities by delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable water and wastewater systems.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Lead or support the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment facilities and pipeline conveyance systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on Design-Build (D/B) and Progressive Design-Build (PDB) projects from concept through construction.
  • Develop technical reports, construction documents, and design calculations in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Engage in client-facing activities including meetings, presentations, and project coordination.
  • Provide quality assurance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6+ years of relevant engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater treatment, conveyance, or design-build engineering.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics, pump stations, pipelines, and treatment processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
