Job Title: Maintenance MechanicJob DescriptionWe are seeking skilled maintenance mechanics to join our metal recycling facility focused on Non-Ferrous metals. The maintenance mechanics will be responsible for mechanical repairs on equipment, troubleshooting and repairs on conveyor systems, and working on mobile equipment such as forklifts and skid steers.Responsibilities• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment.• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, including swapping out drives and 3-phase motors.• Replace hydraulic hoses and perform light fabrication on skid steers.• Change out hydraulic cylinders, blades, and augers on shredder machines.• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on conveyor systems and mobile equipment.• Document all PM activities and make notes on visual inspections to plan future repairs.• Change belts on conveyor lines, swap out head pulleys, and change bearings.Essential Skills• 4+ years of mechanic/industrial maintenance experience from an auto mechanic, millwright, or industrial maintenance background.• General hydraulic/pneumatic experience, including swapping out hoses and replacing o-rings.• Experience performing PMs on equipment, including checking fluid levels, greasing bearings, and changing belts.Additional Skills & Qualifications• Ability to troubleshoot 480v 3-phase motors.• VFD troubleshooting experience.• PLC/electrical troubleshooting experience.• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mobile equipment such as cranes, yard trucks, skid steers, and forklifts.• Computer skills for documentation.Why Work Here?Join a growing facility focused on expanding and enhancing our operations. The shift is 3rd shift, from 11pm-7am, with an expectation of at least 45 hours per week and occasional mandatory Saturdays. The facility provides a safe and supportive work environment with ample opportunities for overtime.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Auburn, Indiana.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00Benefits after 60 days (choice of 2 health plans, 1 dental, 1 vision and company paid short and long term disability as well as a life insurance policy)• $.50 increases at 90 days and 6 months• Steel toed boot reimbursement once every 6 months up to $150• $150 yearly prescription safety glasses reimbursement• 10 paid company holidays• Attendance incentive program ($25 gas card or Walmart card or 1 attendance point removed each quarter. Consecutive quarters with perfect attendance-gift card amount goes up by $25.
