Aerotek Is Hiring Maintenance MechanicJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Mechanic is a key member of the Maintenance and Reliability team, typically working under the direction of the Production Equipment Supervisor. This role involves performing preventive maintenance (PMs), handling facility work orders, and executing equipment repairs in a safe manner. You will ensure that correct processes and procedures are followed and documentation is accurately maintained. As part of the larger plant maintenance team, you may be assigned to any open work order or project as needed.Hard Skills• Oral communication skills• Mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractional computations, and fraction to decimal conversions)• Facility repair skills (painting, drywall, plumbing)• Troubleshooting basic electrical issues (following schematics/wiring diagrams, using digital multi-meter)• Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and power transmission components• Elementary and intermediate LEAN principles (5S, basic continuous improvement techniques)Soft Skills• Professional communication• Flexibility and adaptabilityWork EnvironmentThe work environment is loud, and hearing protection is required. Work is mostly indoors, but large bay doors are often open, exposing you to weather elements such as cold in winter and heat in summer. Housekeeping is done per shift, but you should expect to be dirty at the end of your shift. Steel toe or composite toe boots with metatarsal protection are required (self-supplied).
