Production Technician - $20/hr - Immediate hiring - Apply now!!!!Job DescriptionSeptember-October:• Receive and process trucks hauling crop from the field for weighing and unloading.• Complete a wide range of harvest activities: ex.: husk and sort operations• Operate dryer to dry crop within the prescribed safety, quality, and financial requirements• Shelling and storage of crop from bins in the dryer facility• Supply the Conditioning department with a constant supply of seed• Apply appropriate treatment to seedNovember-March• Label, tag, bag and palletize seed• Enter inventory information into computer• Stage seed for shipment in warehouseApril-August:• Retag in-house seed.• Re-bag backhaul (returned) seed• Inspect pro boxes to ensure they are free of debris and clean• Wash pro boxes as necessaryGENERAL OPERATORS:• From May to August, work on a variety of tasks at the site Indoor and/or Outdoor.• Starting in August, transition into Warehousing and/or Packaging roles.• Forklift Experience (Type: Sitting) is preferred and training to be provided.• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours + OT• Interview required: No• Resume required: No• Requested Pay Rate: $19.50 for new recruits & $20.00 for returning employees (Returning from last year. If gone for more than one year, considered new hire at $19.50)Schedules:• Start first week of onboarding: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, then assigned to first or second shift depending on business need.• July 14 – August 25th: Shifts are 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.• August 25th: 12-hour day shifts 7 days a week until Sept 28th (6:00 - 6:30).• Sept 29th: Packaging 24/7 schedule and Harvest a 12/7 schedule. Candidates should be prepared to stand on their feet for 12-hour shifts, climb stairs at times, and lift up to 60 lbs.
