Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives, and other key collaborators to craft compelling narratives that resonate with internal and external audiences. You will be an innovative and strategic problem-solver, who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment, and is comfortable working under tight deadlines.Job Description:• Strategic Counsel: Provide advice and counsel on communications matters to business and other function leaders.• Impactful Messaging: Develop and implement the corporate communication strategy, aligned with business goals and the broader organizational objectives. Translate complex information into clear, impactful messages.• Content Creation: Write and edit executive presentations and content, media materials such as statements and releases, organization announcements, newsletter content, and other materials. Ensure consistent messaging across all channels and partner to strengthen our brand with communities.• Collaboration: Actively engage with senior leaders in both business and global teams to ensure coordination across business and functional areas.• Employee Engagement: Lead internal communications, ensuring that all employees are informed, engaged, and motivated towards achieving the business’ objectives.• External: Partner with existing external communications teams to enhance visibility and reputation in the industry, and support AES’ broader company narrative and priorities, with a focus on Renewables; may include cultivating media relationships to improve message positioning.• Crisis and Reputation Management: Provide guidance in handling change and major issues/crisis communications. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
