SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Corporate Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 environments, as well as hands-on experience with security tooling, Identity and Access Management (IAM), virtual cloud platforms, and have a good grasp on networking fundamentals. This role involves supporting, maintaining, and optimizing complex systems infrastructure, ensuring security compliance, and working with key stakeholders to implement best practices for enterprise-level systems.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Administer and Engineer solutions for Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, Entra, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other associated services. Provide troubleshooting and support for end-users, ensuring efficient operation.

·       Implement and manage security solutions such as CyberArk, Zscaler, and CrowdStrike to safeguard the enterprise environment. Respond to security incidents, perform analysis, and ensure that security best practices are followed.

·       Design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions using Okta and Entra. Provide support for authentication, authorization, and role-based access control across on-premises and cloud environments.

·       Administer and support Azure and AWS environments, including resource provisioning, security configurations, and cost optimization. Ensure seamless integration of cloud services with on-premise infrastructure.

·       Manage and support virtualized computing environments using technologies like VMware. Ensure optimal performance and scalability of virtual machines and related infrastructure.

·       Ensure that all systems comply with industry-standard security frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST 800-171 and other relevant standards. Participate in audits, assessments, and the implementation of necessary corrective actions.

·       Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, collaborating with other teams to resolve problems related to systems, networking, and security.

·       Create and maintain detailed documentation related to systems configurations, security protocols, incident reports, and compliance audits.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certifications

·       Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect or Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

·       Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering or related roles.


ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills

·       Proficiency with server technologies such as Active Directory, Entra, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core Windows technologies.

·       Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including user management, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.

·       Hands-on experience with security tools like CyberArk, Zscaler, and CrowdStrike for endpoint protection, privileged access management, and network security.

·       Strong understanding of Okta and Entra for IAM, including configuration and management of SSO, MFA, and federated identity.

·       Expertise in Azure and AWS cloud environments, including resource management, networking, and security.

·       Proficiency with virtual cloud providers, networking, and security engineering fundamentals.

Preferred Skills

·       Experience with project management and ticketing systems is a plus.

·       Experience with tenant-to-tenant, and platform migrations is also a plus.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex systems and security issues.

·       Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Environmental Conditions

·       Sedentary - no lifting required. Sitting for long periods of time.

Strength Demands

·       Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.  Some occasional walking or standing may be required.   Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
