NOTE: This position is a hybrid remote/office role, with limited travel to Ada, MI when required

What do we need:

We are looking for a research scientist to pioneer regenerative organic practices for our global farm network. In this role you provide input and drive implementation of regenerative agriculture practices. In addition, you will work as the subject matter expert to support our global farms transition to regenerative organic production practices. Finally, this person will also be able identify solutions to infuse our product pipeline with innovative botanicals. This is a cool role for someone who loves agricultural research and farming innovation, getting your “hands dirty” with farm crews. Your work environment will be on the farm, innovating on farming practices at scale.

Working with a special team of seven ag scientists based in farming locations located in Trout Lake, Mexico, California and Brazil, which strives to identify new plant botanicals and how best to grow them. This team’s efforts will expand our product portfolios through new botanicals or technologies, delivering fresh product innovation to drive sales with our global consumers.

Required qualifications:

• BS degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Crop or Soil Science, or other related areas.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years’ research experience.
• Experience leading farm research and small plot development
• Strong agronomic and pest management skills
• Ability to translate technical and scientific knowledge, concepts into practical and understandable terms

Skills to be successful in the role:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• In-depth knowledge of agronomic principles and conservation /regenerative practices.
• Experience in providing insights on barriers to adoption of regenerative practices and input into project development to address barriers.
