BAS Remote Support Specialist

Position Summary:

The Building Automation (BAS) Remote Support Specialist will engage with clients and technicians to troubleshoot and diagnose BAS systems. The specialist will also perform all duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Key Responsibilities section as well as other duties outlined by the manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing excellent working relationships with customers ensuring effective customer communication.
  • Participate in growing the BAS service cliental.
  • Support the Service Coordinator by triaging service calls.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate in-depth repairs of building automation systems.
  • Obtain building automation system trend data to identify system improvements.
  • Assist managing BAS maintenance contracts and complete remote BAS maintenance tasks.
  • Identifies and develops energy efficiency improvements for facility mechanical systems.
  • Accepts responsibility for assigned tasks and completing them on time.
  • Expanded customer facing role, always representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Support the service technicians with technical issues.
  • Support service sales by obtaining point and site information.
  • Demonstrated coordination, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work within a fast-paced environment, and prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate technical employees.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5+) years’ experience programming and installing Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Minimum of five (5+) years’ experience with Delta Controls product
  • Effective customer service as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS 365 applications
  • Johnson Controls experience an asset
  • Siemens experience an asset
  • Ability to travel
  • Networking background an asset
  • Certified Energy Management certificate an asset
