JOB SUMMARY:
Prepare and spray paint parts and assemblies. May be required to work with higher-grade painters while in training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares surfaces and uses spray guns or other methods to apply primer or other painted surfaces to small parts and assemblies on a routine or repetitive basis.
  • Selects and adjusts spray gun in accordance with instructions, performs masking and sanding duties as required prior to painting, and checks own work for coverage.
• Performs dip painting as required. May perform stencil operations.
• Mixes paint according to specifications.
• Adjusts and cleans spray guns and equipment or other company tools checked out for performing job assignments with appropriate solvents.
• Responsible only for own work and quality of own work.
• Performs other related duties as required.
  

EDUCATION:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze-level WorkKeys certification.

EXPERIENCE:
No experience is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Particularly disagreeable working conditions due to exposure to paint fumes.
