Role Summary

The CA Commercial Performance Manager role is a subject matter expert in the development of market strategies that transform Alaska Air Group’s growth in California.  As an individual contributor, this role will utilize a wide range of data sources and cross-functional relationships to help inform strategic decisions as it relates to growing revenue and optimizing the performance of our business in California.  This role will influence strategies across a wide range of work groups; and be responsible for leading specified initiatives that support Alaska’s growth in California.

Key Duties

  • Influences cross-functionally and build relationships with various commercial leadership teams and stakeholder groups to support the development and implementation of an integrated strategic plan that best positions AAG’s presence and growth in California. 
  • Utilizes data sources including Tableau, SQL, and others to help inform strategic decisions.
  • Serves as a market champion for Alaska’s California commercial initiatives with a focus on influencing and partnering with other teams to ensure the success of existing and new markets.
  • Provides input and feedback on pricing strategies, selling via indirect and direct channels, and other considerations related to the success of our California franchise.
  • Responsible for managing key business intelligence tools that drive analysis and decision making across the division.
  • Supports annual business planning by helping to determine and track key business metrics through the year and driving operational efficiencies across the business.
  • Understands drivers of growth around CA market and partners across lines of business and coaches and influences teams to partner with internal teams to accelerate the development of key initiatives. * Represents the department and facilitates meetings as needed.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 4 years of experience in analytics, business strategy, management consulting, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Data-driven mindset and a proven history of continuous self-development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other database programs such as SQL
  • Cultivates and promotes collaborative working relationships that provides excellent support to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interact with business leaders, provide insights and recommendations, and collaborate to solve complex challenges facing the company.
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lead complex program and project efforts to completion.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Airline Industry experience in analytics, Revenue Management or Network Planning.

Salary Range

$104,600 - $156,900 / year

Bonus

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
