Director, Clinical Operations

We are searching for a Director, Clinical Operations to join the team! The Director will oversee and lead a Team providing comprehensive advanced care planning to high risk patients within Aledade’s ACOs. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a world-class team of clinical service delivery professionals.
  • Develop, champion, live, and manage to guiding principles that streamline decision-making in an environment with competing needs across a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Build organizational structure that enables high performance while providing a pathway for high performing team members, including leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Define workflows, policies, and approaches, clearly communicating with the team to ensure their engagement in our success.
  • Manage departmental budget and plan effectively for responsible growth.
  • Foster a culture of empathy, inclusivity, integrity, resilience, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Own performance and metrics for a team of 40+ clinical employees.
  • Set and manage performance against key metrics, especially conversion rate but also designing, establishing, and setting key consequential performance indicators including enrollment rate, total cost of care reduction, unit costs, and patient and employee NPS — always ensuring measurement remains aligned with Aledade’s North Star objectives.
  • Execute performance management cycles. Establish performance metrics with clear systems of measures and accountabilities that drive results.
  • Design and direct operational changes on the clinical support strategy for care programs to improve outcomes for the patient and the program.
  • Deliver exceptional cross-functional collaboration with key partners across the organization.
  • Partner with the VP, Patient Engagement to build effortless integration with the upstream Patient Engagement team.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Management and Telephony Engineers to optimize schedules, reporting, and engagement strategies.
  • Prioritize competing needs across a variety of diverse stakeholders including internal customers, Aledade’s primary care practice partners, patients, the product team, and the service delivery team.
  • Provide thought partnership and leadership across senior leadership to keep all parties informed of current opportunities, best practices, voice of the patient, and challenges in order to facilitate the design of strategies that consistently position Aledade Plus to capture the future.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills
  • Experience with service operations, ideally in a call center or clinical setting where metrics, technology, and operational rigor were used to drive patient engagement.
  • Passion for and understanding of patient interaction, healthcare systems, and industry best practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills — both managing up and down.
  • Relentless focus on data, using numbers to guide strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance and privacy regulations as well as wage and hour laws related to non-exempt employees
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and improving the patient experience.


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree    
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in management roles overseeing medium-to-large teams of 30+, including clinical operations experience.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.


Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
