MRI Technician

Alexander Orthopaedic Associates is seeking a skilled and motivated MRI Technician to join our dynamic team! Our practice is dedicated to providing high-quality orthopedic care, and you will play a crucial role in this process. The MRI Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using MRI technology, ensuring patient comfort and safety while maintaining high standards of image quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans as ordered by physicians and ensure the proper operation of MRI equipment.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Position patients correctly and utilize proper scanning techniques to obtain high-quality images for diagnosis.
  • Monitor patients during the scanning process and address any concerns or needs promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with orthopaedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and assist in patient management.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to quality assurance measures to ensure optimal imaging outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Current MRI Technologist certification from an accredited organization (e.g., ARRT).
  • Florida state license to perform magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of MRI equipment and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Prior experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred but not required.
