Opportunity
Axcel is seeking a high-quality CEO for an upcoming acquisition. A great candidate is someone who wants to be an integral part of a humble, exceptional team. We are looking for dynamic, analytical, and self-motivated individuals who are excited about a high-growth environment and have the ability to empower others. These leaders will step in and grow this business organically and evaluate inorganic growth (M&A) opportunities.
This role provides a unique opportunity for meaningful responsibility on day one. The CEO will benefit from mentorship from the Axcel team and Alpine Investor’s PeopleFirst™ Leadership Program which offers the support of an experienced facilitator and coach.
The confidential company being acquired is a B2C AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) test-prep business.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement scalable and efficient strategies to ensure consistent results and growth the business 15% YoY
Oversee the day-to-day operations of a company
Be a true player/coach who is equally comfortable guiding and mentoring others as well as rolling up sleeves and diving in
Maintain a positive and continuously developing culture while leading the charge towards growth
Clear roadblocks, mediating disputes, and celebrate successes
Identify, in partnership with Axcel Learning’s M&A team, actionable content expansion / add-on M&A opportunities
Become an expert in the market and stay very close to customers; be the voice of the client and market internally
Attend and speak at conferences and industry events, build strong network and connect personally with key clients and SMEs
What You’ll Bring
MBA from a highly reputable institution
Prior operational experience in a growth-oriented role
Experience in B2C consumer marketing strongly preferred
Ability to think like an operator and an investor
Track record of leading a winning team and mentoring others
Knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting
Analytical mindset with a data driven approach to decision making
Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance, etc.
An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational skills
Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels; even better listening skills
A self-reliant, adaptable, and a “figure it out” mentality
Strategic growth mindset and strong business acumen
Enthusiastic, personable, positive attitude, and high integrity
Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
Compensation & Benefits
Full medical and dental coverage, unlimited PTO, 401(k) match
Axcel Learning anticipates the base salary for this role to range from $175,000 to $215,000 and will depend on current market data and the candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. The compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described based on several factors. This job is also bonus and equity-eligible.
Based in the Greater Atlanta Area. We will not consider remote or hybrid candidates.
