OverviewThe Head of Product Management will look to leverage their experience and market knowledge to oversee the product lifecycle of an established institutional product platform.The Head of Product Management will partner with teams across all aspects of LGIM America to oversee the strategic vision and product platforms for a variety of asset classes, including fixed income, equities and multi-asset. This individual will need to be flexible enough to bridge multiple product vehicles as well, including Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), Limited Liability Corporations (LLCs), Separate Accounts and Mutual Funds.This role will be expected to effectively function within a larger organization, requiring both dynamic and business minded set of qualities. Expectations will require excellent organizational, communication and critical thinking skills grounded in quantitative based analysis for reporting to senior-level management committees.The Head of Product Management will leverage their extensive product experience and knowledge to engage with strategic vendors for product offerings to ensure products are functioning as expected for specific vehicle types and deliverables.The Head of Product Management will be tasked with managing a small team to create efficiencies across LGIM America to ensure successful management of the product platform.ResponsibilitiesProduct Management• Develop a robust Product Management process focused on all vehicles, ensuring that each product is fully managed from the completion of implementation through to the end of its lifecycle• Manage required product changes, doing so in line with the Global Product Process• Lead strategic initiatives regarding reviews and research across investment strategies and fund structures to assist in achieving commercial goals and ensuring these initiatives are delivered in line with the Global Product Process• Act as subject matter expert to assist as needed in product promotion, sales and delivery to internal and external clients, to identify solutions for clients, and to maximize the opportunities from new and existing product solutions.• Manage product data/information requirements for internal and external reporting and client management systemsProduct Development• Partner with members of the Product Team to support efforts of product development for product delivery from idea generation to launch, utilizing a rigorous idea vetting, product championing, analysis and implementation process• Be a valued partner in implementing a timely and repeatable Product Development process to ensure efficient time to market for approved strategies and vehicles within each asset classProduct Oversight & Governance• Lead product research and analysis efforts to ensure an innovative product offering and delivery framework, including keeping informed of market pricing, competitor innovations, customer requirements and regulatory change to identify and make strategic changes to the firm's new and existing product ranges and to inform the product strategy, pricing considerations and price quotations• Deliver ongoing and ad-hoc market intel covering the firms strategic focus areas.• Ensure products, throughout their lifecycle, (including launches, amendments on-going reviews and closures) have clear customer outcomes, supported by clear & concise business cases and are delivered on time within budget.• Organize materials and schedules for monthly Product Review Committee (PRC) meetings, including distributing materials and notes.• Update process and tools supporting the PRC meetings and Product Development & Management processes, including the Product Pipeline, Product Roadmap, Product Proposal Submission Form and Separate Account Assessment Tool.Qualifications• At least 15+ years of financial services industry experience.• Comprehensive knowledge of financial services, specifically the asset management industry including investor types, distributional channels, the competitor landscape and a comprehensive technical knowledge of investment products is essential.• Extensive product development, management and strategy experience.• In-depth knowledge of a variety of asset classes, investment solutions/strategies.• Financial industry qualification a plus.• Strategic thinker.• Strong communication and influencing skills.• Confident and articulate.• Adaptable and diligent with an ability to handle multiple projects/tasks at once.EOE StatementAs an EOE employer, Legal & General Investment Management America will extend equal opportunity to all employeesand applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ancestry,national origin, age, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, pregnancy, military status, and/or anyother characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment.
