It empowers property managers with tools to efficiently handle reservations, streamline operations, and market vacation rental properties online. You will be working within a small team of designers that collaborate with product and engineering to solve a combination of targeted high value projects in addition to system design issues that affect the whole product.Responsibilities of the User Experience (UX) Designer:• Lead and manage UX design projects from concept to implementation, ensuring a user-centric approach throughout• Act as a resourceful problem solver, overcoming design challenges and finding innovative solutions within project constraints• Proactively identify UX improvement opportunities and take the lead in creating a roadmap for executing them• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to drive UX design excellence• Manage tracking and reporting of search-related activities and provide analyses to marketing executives• Optimize Web site exposure by analyzing search engine patterns to direct online placement of keywords or other content• Define product requirements, based on market research analysis, in collaboration with user interface design and engineering staff• Collaborate with web, multimedia, or art design staffs to create multimedia Web sites or other internet content that conforms to brand and company visual format• Communicate and collaborate with merchants, Webmasters, bloggers, or online editors to strategically place hyperlinks• Coordinate with developers to optimize Web site architecture, server configuration, or page construction for search engine consumption and optimal visibility• Improve search-related activities through ongoing analysis, experimentation, or optimization tests, using A/B or multivariate methods• Optimize digital assets, such as text, graphics, or multimedia assets, for search engine optimization (SEO) or for display and usability on internet-connected devices• Optimize shopping cart experience or Web site conversion rates against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)• Evaluate new emerging media or technologies and make recommendations for their application within Internet marketing or search marketing campaigns• Conduct online marketing initiatives, such as paid ad placement, affiliate programs, sponsorship programs, email promotions, or viral marketing campaigns on social media Web sites• Create content strategies for digital media. Implement online customer service processes to ensure positive and consistent user experiences• Resolve product availability problems in collaboration with customer service staff• Keep abreast of government regulations and emerging Web technology to ensure regulatory compliance by reviewing current literature, talking with colleagues, participating in educational programs, attending meetings or workshops, or participating in professional organizations or conferencesQualifications of the User Experience (UX) Designer:• Bachelor’s degree in UX design, HCI or a related field• A minimum of 7+ years of experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing sucessful projects• Proven track record of leading and delivering successful UX projects• Possess a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices• Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma• Strong problem-solving skills and a resourceful mindset• Proven ability to work independently and take a proactive approach to UX design• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially communicating the value of UX to a team of product and engineering counterparts• Experience in the vacation rental, hotel industry, B2B or finance is a plus but not requiredPlease note contractors are engaged to provide services to Expedia Group on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment.
