Senior UX Designer, Alexa Personality, Design (Alexa Experiences & Services)

Description The Alexa UX team is seeking a creative and customer-obsessed Senior UX Designer to define and shape the future of Alexa Personality experiences. The Senior UX Designer will be a key voice in defining the vision for new expressions of Alexa Personality, and bringing them to life. In this role, you will create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet unique customer needs. You... will experiment with interaction and motion. You will work closely with other designers, researchers, product management, engineering, data science, and operational teams as you go from early-stage product concepts to launches of new features and experiences. Key job responsibilities • Create world-class, user-centered designs based on market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability research • Collaborate directly with Conversation Designers, Visual Designers, Motion Designers, and the Research team to ensure a consistent and delightful experience across all customer touch points • Partner with the Product Management team to translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements • Collaborate directly with software engineers and data scientists to bring the resulting designs and vision to market • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes • Develop or direct motion and interaction design concepts • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications • Present design work to the design team, product team, and leadership for review and feedback A day in the life Each day, you will share notes and updates with like-minded design owners across the Alexa team. You’ll then work directly with product managers to understand requirements, and develop design concepts that will be reviewed with leadership. You’ll also work with dev teams to deliver detailed visual and interaction specifications. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market.
