This role requires a proven track record of successfully delivering new features and products, as well as a commitment to teamwork, initiative, and strong communication skills. Creating reliable, scalable, and high-performance products demands exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building scalable software products. This engineer will be driving the development of backend (and some frontend) to deliver a best-in-class user experience, partnering with product and design teams to build highly responsive, intuitive, and sleek experiences that will delight customers and set a high bar for all web applications.In this role, this engineer will work closely with multiple partner teams to deliver products for AWS customers using modern frontend technologies like Next.js and React, while building scalable, maintainable architectures, and writing clean, readable code. The ideal candidate must thrive in an environment where priorities shift rapidly to meet the changing needs of our customers.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
