DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Sr. Supply Chain Manager for the Home Improvement Group businesses (Tools, Home Improvement, Lawn & Garden, Major Appliances), who will thrive at solving complex supply chain challenges. The Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing inventory sourcing strategies, improving cost-to-serve, and owning end-to-end supply chain processes for the business from manufacturer to consumer.Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Managers use data to assess problems in real time, act quickly to uncover potential areas of risk or opportunity, influence others, invent, and build scalable solutions. They play a critical role in delivering the optimal customer experience by ensuring we have the right product, in the right places, at the right time. Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Managers work to continuously increase Amazon's efficiency by engaging with vendors to improve our joint supply chain and operational metrics, while driving automation and system enhancements with internal teams.Key job responsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will have exceptional data extraction, management, and analytical capabilities, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. They will have strong business judgement, good instincts, and the ability to think forward to identify emerging issues. They are able to self-manage competing priorities, and drive both strategic and tactical activities in parallel. They will be able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy.Key Job Responsibilities• Engage with select vendors to focus on improving operational supply chain performance.• Manage inputs that impact the customer experience while reducing costs and removing waste in the supply chain.• Define the operational strategy and contribute to the business growth and operations planning process for select vendors.• Adopt and tailor supply chain best practices to meet category and vendor needs.Basic Qualifications• 5+ years of with Excel experience• Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience• Experience working with complex data sets• Experience communicating results to senior leadershipPreferred Qualifications• Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques• Experience with SQLAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
