Accounting Analyst
Our client, a phenomenal management consulting and investment firm based in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking an Accounting Analyst, focused on Accounts Payable, but with potential to expand into other areas of accounting a well.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting as well as be detail-oriented with strong Excel skills.The role comes with tremendous growth opportunity and the chance to be a part of a phenomenal team.Role Overview:• Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable processes, including verifying proper general ledger accounts & cost center coding, securing necessary approvals/documentation, initiating ACH bank transfers, & preparing checks, all while ensuring adherence to company procedures & internal controls.• Reconcile & validate processed transactions by comparing accounts payable system reports with general ledger balances, ensuring timely recording of banking transactions, including autopay vendors & tax payments.• Handle monthly corporate credit card reconciliations & address any discrepancies/vendor disputes promptly, maintaining clear & effective communication throughout.• Onboard & maintain vendor master files, ensuring the accuracy of W9/W8s, banking information, & contact details, while also managing monthly/quarterly use tax filings & annual 1099 tax reporting.• Support the month-end close process, which includes preparing journal entries for prepaid expenses, cost center allocations, & performing bank reconciliations/account analyses.
