As a Visual Communication Designer at Watershed Progressive, you will be instrumental in advancing our mission of connecting communities with their watersheds through integrated strategies for a healthy, resilient future. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and creativity while contributing to projects that promote environmental sustainability and community engagement.About The PositionThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Art, Graphic Communication, Visual Communication Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field. You should possess strong graphic design skills, with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience in website design, social media management, and public outreach strategies is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with conveying ecological design concepts and excellent digital photography skills are essential.Responsibilities• Lead graphics communication for projects, outreach, and marketing.• Teach interfacing with graphics platforms and effective methods of visual communication to a multi-disciplinary team.• Learn about Watershed Progressive's unique approach using multiple benefit tools including climate-appropriate landscaping, greywater reuse, rainwater harvesting, and more.• Improve your understanding of holistic resilient design and support this effort through diverse outreach methods.Additional Skills (Preferred)• Experience with nature-based design, Low Impact Design (LID), and holistic design approaches.• Proficiency in ArcView GIS and/or AutoCAD software.• Project management experience and ability to lead teams.• Experience with animation software.• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Benefits• 401k Match• Remote work with occasional travel.• Wellness stipend.• Annual training funds.• Paid holidays.• PTO Vacation and sick time.• Long/Short Term DisabilityWomen, BIPOC, LGBTQIA , and other people from communities traditionally underrepresented in the environmental sectors, are encouraged to apply.
