ACS CAN Impact Analytics Intern

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is the nation's leading cancer advocacy organization. Together with our charitable partner, the American Cancer Society, we work in Congress, state legislatures and local jurisdictions to support evidence-based policy and legislative solutions designed to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. This is a remote, home-based internship. Full time students from all US geographies will be considered. Our 2025 Summer internship program is an 8-week Paid Internship that runs from June 2nd – July 25th, at 37.5 hours weekly. The program will join interns across the country who are supporting different department focuses on American Cancer Society and ACS's Cancer Action Network. 80% of the time will be in working within the given department, with the Intern's manager, their mentor, and the team. The other 20% will be with a cohort of other interns around American Cancer Society and ACS CAN.The Impact Analytics Intern, working closely with the Senior Manager of Impact Analytics, will support the efforts to better capture the impact of ACS CAN’s public policy advocacy work to reduce the burden of cancer. The intern will help ACS CAN on their digital transformation journey within the field of analytics. This includes data exploration, data analysis and creating insightful visualizations.Responsibilities:• Assist the Impact Analytics team with data collection from various data sources including but not limited to internal databases and public databases.• Support the build of insightful and meaningful reports and dashboards for ACS CAN.• Help develop robust and sustainable workflows and processes for data collection, data analysis, and reporting / dashboarding.Position Requirements:• Must be available for entirety of 8-week program: June 2 – July 25, 2025, at 37.5 hours per week.• Full-time student, if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college.• Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale).• Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester.• Upload a resume upon application submission.• Note: an internship assignment may coincide with your last term/trimester as a full-time student, but the internship must be disengaged upon graduation.The rate for this position is $17.50/hour. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended.
