Job Description Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Operations and Engineering Teams to identify feature sets that impact private and public cloud platforms to ensure availability and reduce toil
  • Performs hands-on architecture, design and development of monitoring systems to provide continuous support for ongoing infrastructure and application availability
  • Understands current incidents and provides solutions to detect, recover, and prevent re-occurrence

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Expertise in supporting VMware 7.x and 8.x.
  • Experience with DELL/Intel/CISCO hardware basic knowledge of Linux troubleshooting in ESXi, creating/managing HA, DRS, affinity rules, installing & managing ESXi host, patching & upgrading ESXi versions. 
  • Should have experience in Physical-to-Virtual (P2V), Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V) and Virtual-to-Physical (V2P) migration of OS.
  • Good knowledge in VMware server and other virtualization platforms & experienced in large scale production support virtualization environment technical knowledge of VMware vSphere installation, configuration and administration of ESXi 7.x/8.x
  • Provisioning of new VMs, editing the VM configuration, create/edit datastores, vCenter Server, VCSA, PSC, HA and VMs Files. 
  • Assess and implements best practices in line with change management process, troubleshooting and resolving VMware environment issues. 
  • Troubleshoot/Remediate Host Hardware issues.
  • Manage Firmware updates on Host hardware ( Dell, Intel and Cisco UCS).
  • Maintain Dev/QA/Prod servers and perform hardware and software maintenance operations including installation/Patching, configuration and support of server hardware, software updates. 
  • Involves day-to-day Operation tasks and need to be On-Call on rotation basis. 
  • Hybrid work schedule.

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
