Work #LikeABosch.• Reinvent yourself: At Bosch, you will evolve.• Discover new directions: At Bosch, you will find your place.• Balance your life: At Bosch, your job matches your lifestyle.• Celebrate success: At Bosch, we celebrate you.• Be yourself: At Bosch, we value values.• Shape tomorrow: At Bosch, you change lives.Job DescriptionBosch is seeking an experienced professional to manage the company’s state and local governmental affairs strategy in the U.S. The successful candidate will work closely with Bosch business units, site leaders, communications and federal government affairs teams, and legal department to identify and support company priorities among state and local governments, with strong emphasis on developing and nurturing relationships at the state and local levels.Primary Job Responsibilities• Work together with the director, Government Affairs, and the extended team to advance public policy topics for Bosch in key states and communities across the U.S.• Develop and advance relationships with key external state and local stakeholders to foster and grow Bosch investment, operations, and presence in the U.S. This may include engagement on topics such as economic development, incentive programs, technology hubs and industry transition strategies.• Independently identify, monitor, and analyze key issues and legislation at the state level, and develop state policy strategies and outreach plans where appropriate.• Maintain regular communication with business units to support internal stakeholder awareness and review of relevant state actions.• Together with the legal department, advise business units on policy and regulatory matters that may impact the development or deployment of products and services.• Regularly and actively engage with the state government affairs committees of Bosch’s existing trade and industry associations, bringing that knowledge back to internal stakeholders to shape overall positioning and recommend action, where appropriate.• Closely align with Bosch site leaders to create and execute local engagement plans, including representation and participation in the local community.Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree• 7+ years of experience in state and local government relations work, with established relationships with state government offices• Direct experience in active lobbying or advocacy activities• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute with speed, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.• Approximately 20-25% domestic travel expectedPreferred:• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment, including managing various priorities and stakeholders.• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.• Experience communicating with and building consensus among multiple stakeholders.• Results-oriented demeanor.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel.• Desire to work in collaborative and cooperative team environment, virtually and in-person.• Outstanding judgment and discretion.• A positive attitude.Additional InformationSalary Range: $128-152KEEO/OFCCP: Bosch is an equal opportunity employer and makes all employment decisions on the basis of merit.
