Start your journey.This role sits within the Enterprise Data Management and Analytics and Shared Services Engineering Team that has the business and technical ownership of data enablement for Amex GBT Enterprise products and analytics. The ability to consolidate and enrich large data sets from multiple sources, from so many geographies, into our data platforms, are vital to our company’s success. The Testing Manager will play an active part in delivering Amex GBT’s future data, analytics and insight needs in support of the NDC initiative and will have the opportunity to support the advancement of Amex GBT’s data quality and capabilities. This role will focus on NDC end to end testing across DST, GTR and Amex GBTs Enterprise Data Platforms.What You’ll Be Doing:• Support end to end testing initiatives for technology deployments that relate to the DST, GTR and Data Platforms (IDMS (aka CAP)/GTDR/Data Lake) as the source of enterprise product enablement and reporting.• Comprehend customer and business value statements into technical specifications and capabilities.• Responsible to understand NDC standards, terminologies, and order process [Bookings, Ticketing etc.].• Recognize how complex business needs, data requirements and then translate requirements into effective data content usable in reporting, visualization, and actionable insights.• Interact with technology partners and business stakeholders and users through concise and accurate communications.• Test and validate processes to ensure successful completion and support the creation of valid test scenarios.• Develop and execute robust end-to-end test plans.What We’re Looking For:• 5+ years’ experience in the travel industry.• Good knowledge of travel technology and various phases of the travel reservation process.• Experience working with at least 2 distinct GDS and API’s• Knowledge of IATA, ATPCO, EDIFACT standards.• Experience working with XML, JSON and various types of payloads and understanding of how data in represented in them.• Experience testing travel technology with different set of tools. Example - SOAP UI, Postman, JMeter, etc.• Familiarity with design and development of data warehouse/data mart schemas and ETL processes will be a plus.• Strong and seasoned experience with SQL.• Ability to craft clear, concise, and well-organized test documentation.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Experience writing business and technical requirements.• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and focus on quality.• Aptitude to solve complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions.• Must be results driven, taking the lead with little supervision as well as working closely with fellow team members in a small team.• Ability to work against tight deadlines with colleagues across the world.• MUST be ready to work during overlap hours with global team.Applicants Located in Los Angeles (LA) County: A Conditional Offer of Employment for this role is contingent upon a review of an applicant’s criminal history. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Award plan, which rewards participants based on company and individual performance.
