American Express Company seeks Senior Managers, Risk Management to measure and understand competitive, macro-economic landscape, and proactively identify opportunities to reduce risk across multiple AMEX portfolios. Partner with other teams across the company to standardize risk management methodologies. Effectively communicate potential shifts including in operational risk events that could alter expectations of Profit and Loss (P&L) outcomes in a clear, concise, and transparent manner to leaders of the GCS business unit and the rest of the CFR community. Drive innovation in Bank Based Underwriting (BBUW) strategies through data to support responsible growth and limit risk. Provide independent decisions by combining data driven facts on a case by case basis for special collections scenarios. Decide the underwriting criteria for Small business applications using quantitative analysis. Drive operational excellence and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Business Administration, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with risk and data analysis.
