We have a strong hands-on and highly collaborative approach to both product development and graphic design systems and ensure ideas are realized to the highest standards of execution.As a member of Amplify’s design team you will partner with design leads, product owners, developers, and curriculum experts to craft delightful teacher, student, and administrator experiences. To thrive in this role you will need to be a blend of puzzle-solver, information-architect, and empathetic designer.We are looking for a designer who has proven they can work through complex user flows and identify and act upon opportunities to make the user more efficient and powerful.Amplify’s COVID-19 vaccination policy requires all staff to provide proof of vaccination for in-person meetings unless an approved exemption is provided.Responsibilities:• Design user experiences for new and existing web-based educational applications• Craft clear flows and interactions informed and validated by research and data• Build high fidelity prototypes• Participate in design review sessions with product owners and collaborators• Prepare and present mockups and wireframes to internal teams and key collaboratorsBasic Qualifications:• 3+ years of working design experience• Examples of shipped product designs• Basic interaction design, UI design, and information architecture skills• Strong, effective interpersonal and communication skills• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, InVision, Zeplin (or like software), Adobe CC• Confident in articulating rationale for design decisions• Comfort in walking stakeholders through the design process in presentationsPreferred Qualifications:• Knowledge and experience applying best practices for digital user accessibility• Knowledge and experience with data visualizations• Demonstrated ability to gather and document user experience requirements• Demonstrated ability to apply user research and prototype-testing outcomes in informing design decisions• Experience working within digital design systems and brand guidelines• Experience designing for teachers or students in mind• A formal education in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, User Experience or related fieldWhat we offer:Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs.
