Assistant Controller

We are seeking a diligent, reliable Assistant Controller to support the preparation of financial statements and reports that adhere to regulatory and accounting principles and guidelines. The Assistant Controller will assist in month-end closings, perform general ledger account reconciliation independently and review General ledger for all of Amplify's business divisions.
Reporting to and working under the guidance of the Controller, you will play a crucial role in identifying and rectifying discrepancies while assisting in the establishment of effective processes and control systems.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate is an organized professional with keen attention to detail, who will be capable of working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. Responsibilities:
  • Assist the controller with month-end close
  • Handle and oversee controls for all General Ledger transactions postings
  • Review General Ledger to confirm transactions are posted accurately to various financial segments
  • Develop integrated reporting methods for departments to consolidate information into our financial reporting system
  • Improve Finance processes to drive productivity and accuracy
  • Create departmental reports to support operating units
  • Manage state tax audits and filings (Sales and Use Tax and Payroll)
  • Maintain schedules and reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts
  • Reconcile Inventory valuation and analyze variances
  • Complete special ad hoc projects as needed
  • Manage Internally developed software capitalization process.
Basic Qualifications:
  • BA in Accounting or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience with an understanding of accounting, reporting, and business operations
  • Experience with ERP Accounting Software (preferably Netsuite) and Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel)
  • Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to take direction and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Experience using Netsuite reporting
  • CPA
  • Corporate accounting experience with company with 500+ employees
  • Management experience
What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $150,000 - $165,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
