A law firm based in New York City, NY, is currently seeking a highly qualified Lateral Antitrust Associate Attorney. The successful candidate will have a strong background in analyzing transactions for competition issues, particularly with expertise in the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and its implementing Rules. Experience in antitrust advocacy before regulatory bodies such as the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC), as well as in technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions, is advantageous.Duties:• Conduct detailed analysis of transactions for competition issues and merger control filing requirements.• Provide expertise in Hart-Scott-Rodino Act compliance, including substantive analysis, procedural matters, and filing logistics.• Advocate on behalf of clients in antitrust matters before the DOJ and FTC.• Handle antitrust issues within technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions.• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective legal strategies.Requirements:• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.• Relevant Bar admission in New York or eligibility to promptly obtain admission.• Demonstrated experience in analyzing transactions for competition issues.• Strong understanding of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and its implementing Rules.• Prior experience in antitrust advocacy before regulatory bodies.• Familiarity with technology, life sciences, and private equity sectors is advantageous.• Excellent academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Relevant Bar admission in New York (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).Skills:• Proficiency in analyzing transactions for competition issues.• Comprehensive knowledge of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and its implementing Rules.• Strong advocacy skills in antitrust matters before regulatory bodies.• Ability to handle antitrust issues within specific sectors such as technology, life sciences, and private equity.• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.One of the nation's leading law firms, it has a team of 650 attorneys that serves clients in the area of corporate, financial services, intellectual property, litigation, private equity, products liability, mass torts, real estate, REITs, and real estate capital markets.
