Job Overview:
As an Analyst (Home Services & Commerce), you will be responsible for researching, understanding, and communicating the impact of new technology on consumers, with a focus on commerce and the innovative home sector. You will contribute to Orange Silicon Valley's knowledge of critical enabling technologies for commerce, home services, and consumer connectivity in the home. This includes trends, technologies, and startups in e-commerce and brick & mortar retail. OTT streaming services, i.e., Netflix, Disney+; smart assistants and smart home devices and services like Alexa and Google Home; smart assistants, gaming, and content; and US consumer internet connectivity offerings.
You'll work with senior thought leaders in the ecosystem to better understand and quantify the value of these technologies to enable them to tackle their go-to-market commitments and develop new business verticals. Your strategic stakeholders are orange executives and Orange's Fortune 2000 customers.
Responsibilities:
You will identify promising emerging technologies in Consumer Internet & Home Services, engage in thought leadership and strategic planning, and build meaningful relationships with the innovation ecosystem. Some of these relationships will result in technology projects that illustrate the value of innovation in technology and business models. You will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and partnering with startups and engaging stakeholders in peer-level, strategic dialogs on the future of technology enablement in consumer internet and the home. The ideal candidate will be able to work cross-functionally with Marketing and communications, technology analysts, executive leadership, and disruptive innovators, to drive investment analysis, corporate partnerships, and streamlined adoption of newer and better technology and business applications for Orange and Orange's top customers.
Qualifications:
Professional industry experience gained from information technology, telecommunications, or related industries. Interest in identifying and promoting disruptive technologies from non-traditional sources (entrepreneurs and academia as opposed to internal research and development).
Ability to self-start and self-manage, working in a highly autonomous environment and reporting to a senior executive. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter prioritizing time-to-market for new and disruptive technologies. They will be able to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing effectively.
Benefits:
Salary range: $85,000 -150,000 Annually
