Job Description


What will I be doing day to day?

  • Create and manage global broadcast audits for multiple sports leagues and events, evaluating data from official audience providers, broadcast schedules, and other various sources.
  • Manage several media projects, interpreting client briefs into deliverable action plans - covering both digital and linear TV audiences and coverage.
  • Perform data validation and verification checks, quickly addressing any discrepancies and handling adhoc queries from clients relating to broadcast data
  • Clean and transform data in Microsoft Excel, using advanced text formulas, macros, logic statements, pivot tables, and index/vlookups with the objective of being able to work and manipulate large volumes of data efficiently
  • Remain abreast of industry trends, becoming the organisation’s expert in broadcast data
  • Communicate with client service and analyst teams around project scopes, timelines, and key findings against expected results.

Qualifications


What do I need to bring with me?

  • Relevant data analytics experience, across the broadcast media industry.
  • Knowledge of a range of broadcast data vendors (e.g. BARB and Glance) - covering both digital and linear TV data,
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, working with large data sets and complex formulas, including strongly desired familiarity with Powerpivot models and VBA statements.
  • Excellent data organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management and prioritization skills
  • Experience of working within a team, supporting progress towards a common goal and upskilling colleagues when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Over two years relevant experience, gained at a research agency or a mix of agency and client-side
  • Experience of working with broadcast media data
  • Quantitative research experience essential
  • Educated up to degree level in a relevant subject
  • A passion for following professional sport
