This is a paid, in-person, 12 week internship based out of Seattle, WA.WHAT YOU’LL DO• You will develop a deep understanding of how product design plays an integral role in shaping experiences in the autonomous and command & control domains.• You will define experiences based on an understanding of product goals, business, customer, and user needs.• You will hone your visual and interaction design skills and develop an understanding of how to leverage typography, color, iconography, and layout in your work.• You will work closely with your manager or lead to develop your design communication and presentation skills.• You will present your designs and concepts to cross functional partners and stakeholders.• You will own a feature or workflow end-to-end: discovery, design, prototyping, and implementation with engineers. Your work will reflect an iterative process and be deployed to customers and users.• You will collaborate with product designers, research, product management, and engineers to understand the problem space and define solutions.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Holds or in the process of obtaining a Bachelors degree in design (HCD, interaction, visual) or design related field.• Must be a rising senior at the time of their internship and returning to school at the end of their internship to continue their academic studies for at least one quarter/semester.• A desire to work on software and applications that have real-world impact.• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Familiarity with basic Figma design and prototyping tools.• Bias for action and propensity for ongoing learning.• Technical curiosity of autonomous and command & control workflows.• Low-ego, high ownership, and mission oriented.The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
