Aerial Distribution Planner

Distribution ConstructionPlanner is responsible for scheduling & planning of outages in support of centrally managed distribution project work.

• Responsible for all aspects of Distribution Outage Planning
• Responsible for development, review, and communication of Clearance Requests and Clearance Orders to all project stakeholders
• Ensure that all outage related tasks are scheduled with the OCC, DSO, and TSO
• Ensure that Clearance Request and Clearance Order status is properly communicated to project teams and stakeholders
• Schedule work order tasks for project implementation
• Coordinates scheduling of critical activities with Field Construction Managers, COCs, and Project Team
• Responsible for Material Request review and approval
• Supports scheduling, staging, and delivery of construction materials
• Review all clients and EOC distribution design packages and work orders for constructability
• Supports the work scope development for construction bid documents and assists in bid evaluations

• Constructability review comments associated with Engineering IFA designs
• Consolidated construction packages for distribution to project COCs
• Clearance requests for all planned outage work
• Clearance orders finalized by the OCC and distributed to project teams
• Approved material requests reviewed for quantity, accuracy, and correct delivery time/location

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or equivalent work experience

• 5-8 years of experience in the planning, design, operation or maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment
• Prior experience with electrical Distribution, Transmission, and Substation planning, in particular outage scheduling is required
• Experienced in LOTO (lock out tag out) process
• Ability to read and interpret and monitor the accuracy of single line diagrams and engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of the transmission, substation, and distribution system, LOTO procedure and timeline requirements for outages and follow the guidelines for schedule of outage related work
• Ability to become proficient with Asset Suite 8 and iTOA
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Anser Requirements
