Research Scientist / Research Engineer, Pretraining - job 2 of 2
Anthropic is focused on developing safe, ethical, and powerful AI systems. They are seeking a Research Scientist / Research Engineer to join their Pretraining team to advance large language models while balancing research with practical engineering.
Skills

Responsibilities
- Conduct research and implement solutions in model architecture and algorithms
- Independently lead small research projects
- Design, run, and analyze scientific experiments
- Optimize and scale training infrastructure
- Enhance team productivity by improving dev tooling
Education
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science or related field
