Test Engineering Intern - Summer 2024

Antora is seeking a self-driven and passionate Test Engineering Intern to join their solid-state thermal battery systems engineering team. The internship offers hands-on experience in a cutting-edge research environment with a focus on zero-carbon industrial heat and power.

Skills

Solid knowledge of engineering fundamentals (thermal, fluids, electrical, structural)
Experience with test equipment troubleshooting and quick solutions
Comfort with hand tools and characterization equipment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Assist in operating and maintaining custom test rigs at Antora's R&D hub in San Jose, CA
Build custom test fixtures and execute bench-scale testing of subcomponents and materials
Collaborate with various engineering teams for product development and troubleshooting
Calibrate sensors, troubleshoot signal communications, and ensure data quality
Maintain safety awareness and contribute to failsafe architectures
