We are dedicated to creating meaningful impact in our community and are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial strategy and operations.Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a strategic partner in guiding the financial health and growth of our organization. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in financial management within the non-profit sector, with a strong ability to navigate complex financial environments and drive fiscal responsibility. The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring alignment with our mission and strategic goals.Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and execute financial strategies to support the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.Prepare and present financial forecasts, budgets, and reports to guide decision-making and ensure financial sustainability.Financial Management and Oversight:Oversee financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risks to optimize the organization’s financial health.Fundraising and Resource Allocation:Collaborate with development staff to design and implement financial strategies for fundraising initiatives.Monitor and report on financial performance of grants and donations, ensuring compliance with donor restrictions and agreements.Evaluate and recommend resource allocation to maximize impact and operational efficiency.Financial Policies and Controls:Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure financial integrity and compliance with organizational policies and legal standards.Team Leadership and Development:Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of finance staff.Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility within the organization.Qualifications:Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial management role within a non-profit organization.Deep understanding of non-profit financial management, including fund accounting, grants management, and compliance.Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and best practices specific to the non-profit sector.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.Proficiency in financial management software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems).Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred.EEO/AA Employer/Vet/DisabledThe Know Your Rights poster is available here:https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdfThe pay transparency policy is available here:https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdfFor temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, the Company is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
