A well-known establishment in Goleta, CA is looking for a temporary Payroll Assistant to join their team! This employee will be responsible for all facets of payroll, timekeeping (Kronos), recruitment, separation, and financial reporting support.Pay: $27-$29 an hourLocation: On-site in Goleta, CA 93117Duration: TEMP – 6 months, could go longerStart: ASAPJob Duties:-Processes monthly and bi-weekly payroll for more than 230+ career staff and approximately 100 student employees.-Independently set up or modify employees' profiles in Kronos upon hire, reclassification, and change in leave accrual or time code.-Reports variable and hourly payroll and audits Kronos timecards for all employees; Reviews and audits leave reporting.-Serves as backup for employee leave including FML, Worker's Compensation, personal leave, etc. Informs Leave Administration and Academic Personnel of initial requests for leave.-Utilizes various software programs as needed to perform day-to-day job functions (Windows, MS Word, Excel, Gmail, Kronos, Google Calendar, Google Apps, and Data Warehouse).Requirements:- An associate degree is in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resource, preferred- 1-3 years experience with data collection, analysis and reporting experience using spreadsheets and charts.- 1-3 years experience in end to end payroll processing and compliance- Reconcile general ledger with regard to payroll transactions.- Google suit including Google Docs.
