GENERAL SUMMARY
Under direct supervision, Application Analyst I’s are the primary support contact for the application. They coordinate all issues that arise during the project and during support for their application area while adhering to MyMichigan Health’s policies, procedures, and business operations. Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and review and test software. Serves as a liaison between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation and support staff. Provides subject matter expertise for one or more application modules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uses a strong understanding of business systems and industry requirements to work with business owners and users to document requirements and workflows. Design and maintain content and key system controls (codes tables, master files, user’s interfaces etc.).
- Trouble shoots problems and incidents. Recommends innovative solutions.
- Plans, executes, and documents supporting evidence of application testing.
- Collects information regarding potential system enhancement needs and analyzes new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used.
- Analyzes application capabilities to optimize its use within workflows.
- Assists in cross training team members and users.
- Participates in additional projects including software updates and changes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Education: Associate's Degree
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, business, or healthcare field or Associate’s Degree with three (3) or more years of work related experiences providing advanced application system support.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAIING AND SKILLS
- Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate at multiple organization levels across the health system as required.
- Epic trained and / or certified.
- Project management experience.
- VC/Telemedicine/Telehealth experience preferred

- Lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists, and manage a project plan.
- Demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills.
- Communicate effectively with project leadership and subject matter experts.
- Continue to learn the software and increase their knowledge over time.

Employees are required to take a Computer Skills Assessment via the learning management system upon hire.
