Application Support Engineer

CAI is seeking a senior level Application Support Engineer/Developer who specializes in Banking Compliance applications and processes. We are looking for a person seeking a long and productive career with CAI.

This is a hybrid opportunity in midtown Manhattan. Consideration for full remote, with occasional travel will be considered based on qualifications. We highly encourage you to apply if you are looking for remote. We are seeking a highly motivated, and detail-oriented IT professional to join our team at a Manhattan bank. The successful candidate will work within a global team of 18 to support a suite of financial applications. You will be responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance and enhancement of key compliance and banking applications. The technology stack is mainly in the Microsoft domain, with some applications on Linux and/or cloud platforms utilizing SQL server and Oracle databases. You will also maintain documentation, make minor enhancements, and deploy new code and/or updates into production. The successful candidate will work closely with the application owners, project teams and developers. Applicants with experience in the banking industry and/or experience supporting Compliance applications will be considered.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintenance and Upgrade of banking systems
  • Daily monitoring of processes and performance of banking systems
  • Respond to and resolve incidents with applications and systems.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of software enhancements, system upgrades and large bank-wide projects.
  • Provide technical support for software related issues to business users.
  • Work with Database and Infrastructure teams on database and networking updates
  • Work with the CISO team to ensure security standards are maintained and addressed.
  • Work closely with bank employees and team members to ensure systems are properly maintained and business priorities are met.
  • Work with Business Analysts to come up with solutions to implement business requirements.
  • Work with Vendors to troubleshoot and address issues with supported applications.
  • Work with auditors for frequent regulatory reporting needs
  • Use ITIL tools and Processes to conform with the standards of the bank for change and incident management.
  • Document existing architecture, support procedures and project artefacts
  • Mentor and support other team members on compliance processes, technical procedures, and systems.
  • Willing to learn other banking applications and processes.
  • Apply automation where possible.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Computer science or related field
  • Must have minimum 10 years' experience designing and developing IT systems mainly in the Microsoft platform.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with the Compliance tool Actimize
  • Experience working with networking, server and database support teams to support production issues and project work.
  • Experience with ETL tools, such as SSIS, Informatica, Discovery Hub
  • Working experience with Scripting - PowerShell, Batch, VB script, Shell script
  • Expert Level database skills in SQL Server, both SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with Job Scheduling tools - Cybermation, Autosys, Control M
  • Proven ability to work with a vendor regarding support issues, enhancements, and upgrades.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Actimize AIS, RCM, UDM
  • Familiarity with Actimize data model
  • Understanding of KYC, CDD, SAM/AML, SAR, CTR, OFAC, FinCEN
  • SQL, PL/SQL
  • Unix and Windows
  • Batch processing
  • Shell scripting
  • Tomcat
  • Previous Banking experience specifically in Compliance area
  • Familiar with ITIL concepts and tools, e.g., ServiceNow
  • Familiar with source code management tools, e.g., Git, TFS, Bitbucket
  • Experience on API support - MuleSoft, Web Services, WCF, SOAP, Web API
  • Experience working with and supporting interfaces for a data warehouse.
  • Familiar with Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
