The R&D Tax Associate is responsible for assisting clients in identifying, documenting, and claiming tax credits and incentives related to their research and development activities. This role involves a combination of technical understanding, client interaction, and detailed documentation. 


Possible Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with clients to understand their activities and determine eligibility for R&D tax credits. 
  • Gather detailed information on projects and expenditures. 
  • Analyze client projects and expenditures to identify qualifying activities R&D. 
  • Review technical documentation, project plans, and financial records to assess eligibility. 
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation supporting the R&D tax credit claims. 
  • Draft detailed reports and claims for submission to tax authorities. 
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of claims. 
  • Assist in the development of best practices and procedures for claiming R&D tax credits. 


Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus. 
  • Previous experience in tax, accounting, or a related field, preferably with a focus on R&D tax credits but not required. 
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and financial information. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report preparation. 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and analysis.
