Your RoleThe HR Business Partner will be part of the Corporate HR team tasked with supporting routine HR operations and employee populations in Troy, MI. Key priorities of the role include, but are not limited to; strategic business partnering with managers, collaborating with talent acquisition, administering compensation, supporting talent management, enforcing company policies and practices, and overseeing employee engagement. Your day to day will consist of the following:Responsibilities:• Serve as a US HR Business Partner for corporate functions, supporting groups such as finance, supply chain, IT, strategy, legal, HR, office of the CTO, etc.• Act as the point of contact in HR for all corporate persons and activities in the Troy, MI site• Partner with business unit leaders on strategic decisions relating to people planning, performance management, succession planning, compensation, etc.• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes• Support employees with immigration/visa matters and facilitate international mobility of employees• Maintain and administer employee data in Workday• Oversee, coordinate and own the summer intern program and early career leadership development programs• Partner with business leaders and talent acquisition teams to execute staffing plans and facilitate offer processes• Serve as an advocate on behalf of employees, helping them navigate Aptiv and understand our internal policies, programs, opportunities, benefits, etc.• Conduct and manage investigation processes related to employee relations issues. Manage employee relations documentation and metrics• Track and report out on KPIs. Identify opportunities for improvement and develop executable action plans accordingly• Regularly review and continuously improve HR processes, policies and best practices• Engage in other HR related functions and duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business or related field• 3+ years of experience in HR or related field• Advanced level of technical proficiency and computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Management)• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to communicate with employees at all levels• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and manage multiple projects• Ability to influence in the organization to affect changePreferred Qualifications:• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP qualifications• Experience operating Workday HRISWhy join us?• You can grow at Aptiv.
