Job Summary

Aptive is seeking an inspired, bold, multi-skilled Supervising Video Producer to join our creative team. The Supervising Producer will oversee strategy, direction, and creative collaboration to support digital content across client owned properties. 

 

We are looking for someone who brings creativity and the technical skills to lead creative and production for a range of stunning, innovative content. The ideal candidate should be passionate and driven about leading mission-based work and storytelling that helps the American public. This position requires expertise in management, video content creation and social media content optimization (understanding what is native for a platform and being mindful of content that facilitates audience growth).  

 

This full-time position is located at Aptive’s Headquarters in Alexandria, VA, with remote options available. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Fosters and promotes a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality.
  • Oversee and lead several creative portfolios.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other business units to define video project requirements, timelines, and scope.
  • Oversee the creation, development and production of innovative digital video programming and marketing content across client owned channels (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) on a daily basis.
  • Participate in strategic planning for video storytelling across channels, including national broadcast, website, newsletters, social media, as well as conferences and other in-person/virtual events.
  • Deep familiarity managing and leading all aspects of video production and development, pre-production, production, and post.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of progressively complex, relevant video/content creation and management experience at an agency and/or production house environment.
  • End-to-end familiarity with video production process, including preproduction, shooting and postproduction/editing.
  • Experience supervising and managing creative teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in film or video or related experience strongly preferred.Reel and/or example links required.

  • Experience supervising and managing creative teams.
  • Experience supporting executive level clients.
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to handle/lead multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, organize time, and identify resources for projects.
  • Fluent in new developments in digital storytelling, technologies, and delivery.
  • Technical knowledge of production studio and on-location set-up to include shooting, lighting, audio equipment, teleprompter, transcription, etc.
  • Strong background in creative digital photography and lighting.
  • Enjoys working as a team member as well as independently.
  • Experience supporting and supervising peers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience with Section 508c compliance standards/related laws within the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
