OverviewPlacement Type:TemporarySalary (USD):$44.99 to $49.99/hrStart Date:07.15.2024Our client, a leading athletic brand known for its innovative sportswear, footwear, and accessories, is looking for an advancedApparel Product Designerwith previous women's apparel experience. This designer will be designing apparel for women's sport performance, which may include projects for soccor, basketball, golf and tennis!**Portfolio with previous Apparel Design samples required to be considered! This is also a HYBRID role and Onsite role (Monday-Thursday) with a remote day Friday. Please do not apply unless you are local to Beaverton, OR and can do a hybrid work schedule.**Core Functions:The nature of the work is focused on the appearance of product, communications, or collateral materials.Product Design- With direction from Design management, uses design skills to create original product designs or refreshes existing products that appropriately reflect design philosophy & standards. Advances design image, product performance, and inspires targeted consumers.Design Execution- proactively follows the execution of all product details including: construction detail, color, form, style, detail, fit performance, graphic application, trim, etc. Reviews samples and clearly communicates changes to ensure timely completion of each project.Process/Timeline- Works with design leadership and Category team members in Design, Development, and Product Management to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price points, mechandising needs andproduct creation timelines. members in Design, Development, and Product Management to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price points, mechandising needs and product creation timelines.Communication- Communicates and presents design concepts to various internal and external audiences along with more senior Designers. Produces presentation materials in conjunction with the Design and Category teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences.Skill/Knowledge Development- Proactively works with Design management and more senior Designers to build and advance personal portfolio of design skills, experiences, and product/process knowledge. Builds awareness of current trends, color, and sports-related products through awareness of current trends, color, and sports-related products through market research to keep abreast of consumer needs. Provides design support for design team as needed outside of assigned product load.Essential Duties:Deliver product vision and point of view for seasonal projects aligned to creative direction and product briefs.Create original product designs or refresh existing products with supervision from Design leadershipExecute against a broad range of product price points and model typesBe an active and proficient participant in the creative process and cross-functional communicationCommunicate and present design concepts to internal and external audiencesCollaborate and communicate cross-functionally with key partnersRequirements:Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, creation of tech packsTypically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 2-4 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 1 yr; Masters + 0-3 yrs; Associates degree + 1-3 yrs; High School + 3-5 yrs.The target hiring compensation range for this role is $44.99 to $49.99 an hour.
