Property Manager

Highly regarded and independent Jamaica Plain Real Estate Office is seeking a motivated, energetic and organized team player to join our Management and Rental Team as a Property Manager. This full-time position offers a dynamic range of tasks throughout a typical day with exposure and experience in all aspects of Real Estate rentals and management.

Our new team member will be given an array of tasks and responsibilities to help our small business run smoothly and will oversee at least one other Property Management Team member. Must be comfortable with on-the-fly re-prioritizing and creative problem solving. Responsibilities are split between office/computer/organizational tasks and field work, including interacting with clients, tenants and maintenance team members as well as showing properties. The ideal applicant has strong interpersonal/organizational skills and loves to problem solve and think on their feet. You will interact with a spectrum of people including landlords, tenants, contractors, inspectors, company owners, etc.

Responsibilities include:

Main point of contact for existing tenants
Coordinating photoshoots, marketing, social media, etc. for rental listings
Scheduling and conducting in-person showings for our rental clients
Process rental applicants and perform background checks
Working with tenants to determine if they will renew their leases
Meet potential clients and discuss how we may be of service to them
Present applicants directly to landlords
Prepare lease packages and related paperwork for eager new residents
Perform end-of-lease inspections of properties
Communicate with tenants on questions or issues they may have about their rental units
Interact with our maintenance staff to and help prioritize work at rental units
Answering phones and general office upkeep
Visit properties for inspections and follow up with maintenance team about any necessary repairs
Evening and weekend availability is required

Bachelor’s degree required
MA Real Estate Salesperson License required
Strong interest in Real Estate Rentals, construction, or psychology, preferably with previous Real Estate experience
Excellent interpersonal and writing skills required
Organized and able to meet deadlines
Eager to learn and handle a fast-paced environment
Must have a car to travel to off-site appointments
Must live within easy commuting distance to Jamaica Plain (Boston, 02130)
