Architectural Project Manager

Position Summary


Deliver excellent client service balanced with protecting HLW’s interests to ensure repeat business. While managing clients’ interests and goals, deliver profitable and quality projects on behalf of HLW. Represent HLW in a professional and ethical manner.


Reporting Structure


Position reports to the Studio Managing Director(s) and to the Director of Project Management.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Owner coordination – Take leadership in contracts, billings and communications.
  • Team Leadership - Balance deliverables.
  • Firm coordination – Oversee budgets and profitability.
  • Project Control – Maintain deadlines and quality control.
  • Financial Management – Demonstrate a superior understanding of financial management.
  • Business Development and Marketing – Take a leadership role in response to new business.

Role Qualifications:


  • US Registered Architect or Engineer; or NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer (preferred in each case) with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • LEED accreditation (preferred).
  • Significant experience in administering large scale complex projects.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor staff on multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Significant experience at a senior managerial level over a wide range of project types and procurement methods.
  • Thorough knowledge, experience and understanding of contractual and regulatory issues.
  • Experience in constructing a budget and managing income against expense.
  • Ability and willingness to work in an entrepreneurial fashion to expand HLW’s practice.

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000-$135,000. We will consider relevant experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors in determining compensation.
