As a Production Manager in cGMP bioprocess operations, you'll take charge of a dynamic team, driving production excellence and ensuring top-tier quality and safety standards. You'll be at the forefront, solving challenges, fine-tuning processes, and making sure everything runs smoothly with accuracy and precision. From maintaining audit-ready work areas to fostering a culture of growth and safety, this role is about making an impact and leading with passion and energy!



WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Provide effective  leadership, direction, and mentoring to manufacturing technicians/associates to ensure execution of production schedules and adherence to quality standards
  • Collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams to determine manufacturing priorities and successfully implement production plans
  • Review weekly production schedule and priorities to determine unit assignments and critical actions
  • Ensure all production materials and PPE are present as required
  • Author and revise documentation, including drafting and approval of SOPs, Batch Records, Deviations, CAPAs, etc.
  • Perform review of batch documentation and logbooks for completeness and accuracy
  • Identify deviations, aid in investigations/root cause analysis, and provide input on major/critical deviations
  • Ensures all employees are trained effectively and consistently and comply with cGMPs and SOPs
  • Works with QA and Subject Matter Expert (Tech Ops or Process Sciences) to resolve exceptions.
  • Lead safety initiatives and participate in company-wide safety teams
  • Develop staff (i.e. set goals, assign development activities, review performance, etc.) 
  • Maintain work areas in compliance with cGMP and internal requirements
  • Keep work areas in EH&S / GMP regulatory audit-ready condition


WHO YOU ARE
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience in all aspects of the manufacturing/production process
  • Experience in leading manufacturing and production teams in some capacity, such as shift or team lead or any previous supervisory experience
  • Minimum two (2) years in a supervisory role
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Database management
  • Comprehensive understanding of cGMPs, regulations, and validation requirements
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Cell Therapy and/or aseptic processing experience

The estimated base salary for the preferred primary location of the San Francisco Bay area ranges from $120,000–$135,000. Salary ranges for other locations may vary.  Base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, experience, education, and location. Beyond these considerations, we are committed to pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current employees when making any final offers.
